If you know me, then you know that I have a passion for baking and cooking. I have been told by many that it is a gift, however to me it is something that comes naturally as it has been passed down from generation to generation. Cooking and Baking is something I remember as far back as my great Grandma and continued to my Grandma, my mom, me and to my kids, hopefully to their kids and grandkids. Some of my earliest memories are baking and cooking with both of my Grandmother’s I loved to help put the ingredients together, lick the beaters, watching the cookies bake in the oven. I remember being memorized by the smell of wonderfulness, and ultimately tasting that amazing cookie, brownie, or cake. It was something I always looked forward to when baking with loved ones, I vividly remember the homes and even the stools I would stand on to help. Their homes created those memories and traditions.
I always remember going to my Grandparent's, walking into the garage the aroma from dinner cooking gave you that warm welcoming feeling. The menu was usually beef roast and the most amazing mashed potatoes you have ever tasted there was just as much butter as potatoes, making a fluffy portion of heaven on our plates. Lime Jell-O salad, beans, rolls, and homemade applesauce, I am sure that she made more than beef roast but I remember the beef roast meal the most. It was one of the most requested meals and always the same dish set and glasses to look forward to. As my Grandma aged I knew these traditions would not be able to continue. Many times in high school I spent the day with my Grandma, baking some of her favorite dishes with her so I could learn the tricks of the trade and get tips to carry on those traditions. When my Grandma passed she had thousands of recipes. All hand written and all categorized in her four large recipe boxes. My heart would not allow me to throw them away, so I kept them all these years never knowing exactly what to do with them. I knew that someday I would do something with them, many people in the community were blessed by Grandma Lee’s gift of baking and cooking. I wanted to continue that by sharing her recipes on my website and in my mailings. I hope “Grandma Lee’s recipes” create many good memories for you as they have for me and so many others. The best gift in love is made from the heart!
I know that buying and selling a home is both exciting and difficult. Having to leaving all those traditions, and memories made with that home behind, but also moving on to create new memories with generations to come is exhilarating. I would be honored to be a part of that transition, making it smooth and an enjoyable process as you move from one location to the next. I am committed to help you find the most amazing home for you and family so you can continue the journey of life, carrying on those traditions from generation to generation.
